About Terra
Terra Industries Inc. is a leading international producer of nitrogen products for agricultural, industrial and environmental markets. We own and operate six North American nitrogen products manufacturing facilities and own 50% interest in joint ventures in the United Kingdom and The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Our headquarters is in Sioux City, Iowa.
Terra provides products that are essential to meeting the needs of a growing global population. Our nitrogen product line includes ammonia, urea ammonium nitrate solutions (UAN), ammonium nitrate (AN) and urea. With the capacity to produce about 6.5 million tons of product at our North American facilities annually, Terra is a vital contributor to the markets we serve.

In 2003, Terra formed an Environmental Technologies division to develop sales and services to customers using nitrogen products to reduce nitrogen oxides (NOx) and other emissions from various sources, including power plants; and in other environmental processes, such as water treatment. Today, that division is one of Terra's companies and is known as Terra Environmental Technologies Inc.
Michael L. Bennett
President and Chief Executive Officer, Terra Industries Inc.
Mike Bennett became Terra Industries Inc.'s President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2001, after a 30-year journey up Terra's ranks.
Mike has served on numerous trade association boards, and is currently Chairman of the Board of The Fertilizer Institute and a member of the board of the United Way of Siouxland. He is a past Chairman of the Board of the Methanol Institute and the Agribusiness Association of Iowa, and served on the board of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce. In 2003, Mike joined the board of Alliant Energy.
As Mike worked his way up Terra's organization, he gained deep understanding of the company and industry. He is highly regarded among Terra employees not only for his dedication, focus and leadership, but also for his personable demeanor. Mike is a very effective communicator who excels at "off the cuff" speaking and expressing his thoughts in writing. He is also Terra's best salesperson, never forgetting a name.
Barry W.Lonsdale
President, Terra Environmental Technologies Inc.
Barry earned a B.S. in Applied/Natural Sciences and Economics from the University of Western Ontario. He has more than 25 years' experience in various areas of the chemical industry, including a position as North American Vice President of Lever Industries, a Unilever Company.
Barry joined Terra in 1997 as Plant Manager of its Courtright, Ont., nitrogen manufacturing facility, and in 2001 was promoted to Managing Director of Terra International (Canada), Inc.
Douglas M. Stone
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Doug Stone is Terra's Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing and Vice President of Terra Environmental Technologies, Inc. He joined Terra in 1989 as a Special Products Sales Representative.
Doug earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Iowa in 1988. He completed his M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota in 1997. He is active in civic and community service, and serves on the Board for the United Way of Siouxland.
Doug's broad experience in sales, marketing, corporate development, supply and distribution uniquely qualify him for his current position. In addition to deep experience, he brings to his position strong technical skills, creative strategic vision and a drive to continuously improve Terra's position within its industry and markets. Doug's colleagues characterize him as a quick study with a personable demeanor.
